RL-TNG: our own brand for baitcaster tuning

RL-TNG is the house brand of RL-Angelrollentuning, the shop for fishing reel tuning since 2021. Under RL-TNG you'll find spool bearings in three classes, complete bearing tuning kits for individual reel models, full carbon handles, EVA and cork knobs and the tools to fit everything yourself.

Spool bearings in three classes

  • APEX: ceramic, ABEC 9, with S30 ceramic balls. The earliest spool start and the longest free spin in our range, ideal for lures from 2 to 60 g.
  • EDGE: hybrid ceramic, ABEC 9. Ceramic speed with the toughness of steel, shielded or open, the all-rounder from 5 to 100 g.
  • CORE: full stainless steel, ABEC 5. Built for heavy lures and high loads, from 8 to 200 g.

Every set contains two bearings, exactly in the sizes of your reel. In the bearing finder you enter your reel, for example Curado DC, and get the right sizes plus our recommended class.

Complete tuning kits

For many Shimano and Daiwa models there are complete kits with the key bearings of your reel in one package. For some models they also replace the plastic worm shaft bushings with ball bearings.

Carbon handles and knobs

The DRG, TGR, WLF and EGL handles are 95 mm long and made of full carbon, with 7x4 or 8x5 fitting for Shimano, Daiwa and other brands. Locknut and plate for left and right hand are included, you choose the knobs yourself.

The OCT 24 EVA knob is 24 mm wide and 40 mm long, runs on ball bearings and fits Shimano type A and Daiwa type S. The JGR 19 is the slim version at 19 mm. On top there are cork knobs for extra grip. Locknut, plate and knob caps come in silver, black, gold, blue, purple and red.

Tools and maintenance

If your spool bearing sits behind a pin, the Spool Bearing Pin Remover, CNC-machined from aluminium, does the job. Our maintenance kits bring the tools for servicing your baitcaster in a case. No time to wrench? In our installation service we fit the bearings for you.

Passen die Carbon-Kurbeln auf meine Rolle?
Die 95 mm Kurbeln gibt es mit 7x4 oder 8x5 Aufnahme für Shimano, Daiwa und weitere Marken. Locknut und Plate für Links- und Rechtshand sind dabei, die Knobs wählst du selbst. Welche Aufnahme deine Rolle hat, siehst du im Rollenfinder.
Brauche ich Werkzeug für den Lagerwechsel?
Sitzt dein Spulenlager hinter einem Pin, brauchst du einen Pin Remover. Unser Spool Bearing Pin Remover ist aus Aluminium CNC-gefräst und passt auf die meisten Baitcaster, nicht auf Daiwa Steez AIR TW und Alphas AIR TW. Oder du nutzt unseren Einbauservice.
