Find your Reel in the Finder above and click it. On the Reel page, you’ll see all the compatible parts—spool bearing sets, knobs, handles, star drags, and whatever is relevant for your model. No guesswork, no need to research it yourself.

Our three Reel Bearing classes:

• CORE — solid standard tuning, good value for money, noticeably better than the factory bearings
• EDGE — higher-quality bearings for noticeably longer casts and smoother casting
• APEX — the best we can recommend for your Reel, uncompromisingly focused on maximum performance

Standard tools are sufficient for most tuning: screwdrivers, tweezers, and possibly an Allen key. On some Shimano baitcasters (Curado, Bantam, SLX, and co.), the spool is secured with a small pin—you need to remove it to replace the Bearing. That’s what the Pin-Remover, a simple specialized tool, is for. On the Reel page, you can see whether you need one—if so, it’s linked directly.

Yes—with one caveat. The DC brake itself is electronic and can’t be tuned; there’s nothing to adjust. But Bearing tuning works just as well on DC reels as on any other reel—you get longer casts and smoother spool performance. Swapping knobs and handles is also no problem.

On each Reel page, you’ll find the recommended knob sizes directly below the image. We researched this by hand for every series. So, for example, if you have an SLX and 25–27 mm is recommended, you’ll immediately know which knobs to add to your cart.

Tuning is reversible — all parts can be converted back. So if you ever want to go to Shimano service, you reinstall the original parts and everything is back to factory condition.

Regarding the warranty: Bearing replacement is usually unproblematic (spool bearings are wear parts). Crank or component replacements could theoretically lead to warranty discussions — but in practice, most warranty cases involve damage unrelated to the tuning.

Sure. With spinning reels, it’s mainly about different knobs, longer handles, line rollers, and reel stands. Just search for your Stella, Stradic, Tatula, etc. in the finder—we’ll show you what fits. Spool bearing sets aren’t available for spinning reels; they’re a baitcaster thing.
