Guide: Does the Knob Fit Your Reel?

I want a knob, but I don’t see my reel on the compatibility list. What now?

Don’t worry, that doesn’t necessarily mean the knob won’t fit! You can find out in a few steps whether the knob fits your fishing reel:

1. Loosen the knob: Take a closer look at the knob on your fishing reel. Many knobs have a cap that you can carefully pry off with a screwdriver or pull out with a small needle.

2. Screw or rivet?: Under the cap, there is either a screw or the knob is riveted. If you see a screw – GREAT, the knob can be removed! If you don’t see a screw but a rivet, it’s a riveted knob, which is common on very inexpensive reels and unfortunately not compatible.

3. Remove the knob: Unscrew the screw with a screwdriver to remove the knob. Then measure the shaft on which the knob sits. It should not be longer than 27.5 mm and have a diameter of 4 mm.
