Nays CRTR

RL - Angelrollentuning - Nays CRTR - Creature Bait - C - 01 - 3 Inch | 7,6 cm -

The Nays CRTR is the first Creature Bait from Nays. A hybrid form of crab and insect, featuring two large, air-filled claws and fine, vibrating legs. The result is a versatile softbait that works equally well on Texas Rig, Carolina Rig, Drop Shot, and Skirted Jig setups.

Design and Material

The two air-filled claws keep the rear part of the bait actively raised, giving it a distinctly upright posture as it sinks. This characteristic is especially valuable on the Skirted Jig: the CRTR stands on the bottom with raised claws, just like a cautiously moving crab. The fine legs create micro-vibrations even with minimal currents, attracting predators nearby. The distinctive Nays ribs on the sides further amplify pressure waves underwater and are the trademark of the Nays softbait family.

  • Crab-insect hybrid profile with two large claws and fine legs
  • Air-filled claws keep the bait upright on the bottom
  • Fine legs for micro-vibrations even with minimal movement
  • Nays ribs for additional pressure waves underwater
  • Two lengths: 3 Inch | 7.6 cm and 4 Inch | 10.2 cm
  • Weights: approx. 1.8 g and 4.7 g per piece

Applications

The CRTR is a true all-rounder for bottom rigs:

  • Texas Rig: classic crab imitation, presented hanging on a bullet sinker, perfect for perch and bass around structures.
  • Carolina Rig: longer leader line, free sliding, ideal for tactical presentations over sandy bottoms.
  • Drop Shot: presented stationary, the CRTR stands upright in the water thanks to the air-filled claws.
  • Skirted Jig: combined with a leadhead jig, it provides a heavier option with active bottom action.

Length Overview

  • CRTR 3.0: 3 Inch | 7.6 cm, approx. 1.8 g per piece, 7 pieces per pack. All-rounder for perch, small pike, bass, and trout. Ideal for light setups and cautious predators.
  • CRTR 4.0: 4 Inch | 10.2 cm, approx. 4.7 g per piece, 5 pieces per pack. Larger silhouette for pike, zander, and big bass. More profile, more pressure wave.

Color Selection

The ten available colors range from natural crab imitations to contrast and attractor colors for murky water or slow bite days. Both the natural brown and crawfish tones as well as the brighter attractor colors have their season.

Positioning in the Nays Line

The CRTR expands the Nays softbait family with the creature class. When searching over long distances or in weed beds, it’s worth using it alongside the Nays WRRR Chatterbait or the Nays MZ RNNR 2.0 Spinnerbait. The CRTR then takes over the precise follow-up cast at the hotspot where the active search baits have triggered bites.
