Hedgehog Studio "Kattobi" Tuning Kit Ball Bearings | Shimano 730 & 730 Air BFS

With the "Kattobi" Bearing Tuning Kit you get a premium bearing set from Japan for your baitcasting reel. The kit includes 2 bearings with the bearing size 730Air BFS (3mm x 7mm x 3mm). 

The small stainless steel balls are installed so precisely in the housing that they start to roll at the slightest weights. This makes the fishing reel perform incredibly well, with an extremely high rotation speed on one hand and a very smooth operation on the other.

The Air BFS bearing set is aimed at Finesse anglers among you, who primarily use lures from 1 - 14 g cast. With the ball bearing, you achieve on average 10 - 30% more casting distance. Doesn't sound like much, but with a casting distance of 30 m you get up to 9 m get more out of your reel compared to factory ball bearings. This allows you to fish spots that were previously out of your casting range.

Why use tuning bearings? 

In general, ball bearings installed in the reel from the factory often do not have good rotational properties because a lot of grease and dust prevent smooth running. 

The AIR BFS Tuning Kit is pre-oiled, the in-house Alchemy Oil from Hedgehog Studio ensures the perfect balance between oil and bearings.

The "Kattobi" bearings undergo quality control; they are checked by hand after assembly, and only bearings with excellent rotational performance are allowed to leave the facility.

Therefore, it is not necessary to clean or lubricate the ball bearings. The ball bearings can be used out-of-the-box.
