Details about the ball bearings:

• ZR ball bearings: These stainless steel bearings are real all-rounders. Whether you're using light 5g baits or heavy 50g+ baits, these bearings will take you further. They offer stable rotation performance and enable a significantly greater casting distance, which is particularly important for heavier baits. Compared to conventional ceramic bearings, they are not only cheaper, but also more durable.
• Surface: open, back shielded, which makes maintenance much easier.

HEDGEHOG STUDIO AIR Ball Bearings:

• General : When fully loaded, all bearings achieve similar distances. However, the AIR series makes it easier to maintain control on shorter casts such as pitching. For lighter lures under 20g, the AIR series increases your casting distance significantly.
• AIR BFS vs. AIR Ceramic : While AIR BFS is a cost-effective option, AIR Ceramic offers the best balance whether you use ultralight lures or not.
• Recommendations : For highest performance choose AIR Ceramic for light lures under 20g and AIR HD Ceramic for heavier lures or saltwater use.

Why use tuning camps? 

In general, ball bearings that are installed in the roller at the factory often do not have good rotation properties because a lot of grease and dust prevent smooth running. 

The tuning kit is oiled as standard, Hedgehog Studio 's own Alchemy oil ensures the perfect balance between oil and ball bearings.

The "Kattobi" bearings are subjected to quality control, for this reason they are checked by hand after assembly and only the bearings with an excellent rotation performance are checked > are allowed to leave the house.

Therefore it is not necessary to clean or lubricate the ball bearings. The ball bearings can be used out of the box.
