RL-TNG APEX Ball Bearings

RL - Angelrollentuning - APEX Kugellager - BC Kugellager - 5x11x4 -

Experience an unparalleled level of speed and performance in your fishing reel with the APEX High Speed Ceramic Bearing Balls in ABEC 9 Premium Quality!

Thanks to the ceramic bearings in the PEEK Polyether Ether Ketone ribbon cage, the spool of your baitcasting reel starts up lightning fast and reaches significantly higher speeds.

Cast lighter lures and achieve a noticeable improvement in casting distance, with up to 30% more casting distance possible.

What does ABEC 9 mean?

ABEC is a standard that specifies manufacturing tolerance. The higher the number, the more precise the manufacturing and the smoother the bearing runs. The standard only uses odd numbers.

ABEC 9 bearing balls offer premium quality and are second to none in competition.

Why use tuning bearings?

The factory-installed bearing balls in fishing reels often have poor rotational capabilities due to dirt and grease, which causes friction.

The High Speed bearing balls are delivered dry and feature an anti-rubber cover on one side and are open on the other side, making these bearing balls tuned for maximum performance to reduce friction to a minimum.

Long durability

The bearing balls can be operated dry, but we recommend oiling them. The best choice is Alchemy Oil from Hedgehog Studio or Ultra Light Cast Lube from Deuthlon.

This increases their longevity and significantly reduces bearing noise. A drop of oil is enough to enjoy them for a long time.

FAQ – Spool Bearings for Baitcasting Reels

Yes. For maximum casting distance, a smooth spool start-up, and harmonious operation, both relevant spool bearings should always be replaced at the same time.

Only then can the Bearing Upgrade deliver its full effect.

Our spool Bearing sets each include the two relevant Bearings for your baitcasting reel.

This gives you the complete solution for a smooth and well-matched upgrade.

Installation instructions are not included.

When a Bearing is mounted on the Spool, it is generally held in place by a small retaining pin.

For safe, damage-free removal, we recommend a Pin Remover.

This helps prevent bent pins or damaged spool shafts.

APEX Bearings are ideal for very light to medium casting weights.

EDGE Bearings cover a broad all-round range.

CORE Bearings are designed for higher continuous loads and heavy lures.

Your typical application range is the deciding factor.

Open the side plate of your Reel and remove the Spool.

If a Bearing is mounted directly on the Spool shaft, it is the version with a Spool Bearing.

If there is no Bearing there, it is usually located in the side plate beneath the Spool tension.

A single, small drop of high-quality spool bearing oil is sufficient for spool bearings.

Too much oil creates unnecessary resistance and reduces the rotational speed.

Yes, absolutely. The DC system electronically regulates the braking curve, but it does not replace mechanical friction in the Spool bearing.

A high-quality Spool bearing significantly reduces this friction and noticeably improves spool startup. The spool starts faster, runs more freely, and responds more sensitively.

This is particularly noticeable in the light to medium casting-weight range.

DC is not a brake on performance, but a complement to mechanical optimization. A precise Spool bearing and the DC system work together, not against each other.
