Nays CRNK SR

The Nays CRNK SR is a floating, lead-free crankbait available in three sizes. The shallow-running SR family is designed for easy retrieval, stop-and-go, and bottom-tapping, and thanks to the well-thought-out weight distribution, it stays on course even during fast retrieves or strong currents.

Construction and Material

The entire construction of the CRNK SR is lead-free. This makes the lure suitable for Dutch fishing tournaments and Scandinavian waters where lead is prohibited. Noise-producing balls have been deliberately omitted; the CRNK SR is a silent crankbait. The characteristic Nays ribs compensate for the lack of rattles: they enhance the already strong water turbulence of a crankbait, making the lure extremely noticeable even without rattles. The Pro Tackle Eyes provide a clear visual focal point that directs predators to the front part of the lure during the final strike.

Nays makes no compromises when it comes to hook choice. The CRNK SR is fitted with two BKK Spear 21-SS treble hooks, known for their extreme sharpness and durability. For a crankbait that is usually retrieved linearly, the hook must set immediately; otherwise, the fish feels the pull and escapes. The BKK Spear 21-SS minimize missed strikes and keep predators on the lure once they bite.

Action and Application

Three retrieval styles cover most situations: steady retrieve for active searching, stop-and-go for cautious predators, and bottom-tapping for targeted tapping on the bottom. The running depth of 0.4 to 1.7 m makes the CRNK SR a classic tool for weed edges, plateaus, and shallow shore zones. Target species are perch, zander, and pike, with the smallest size also attracting large trout and asp.
