Hedgehog Studio "Kattobi" Tuning Kit Ball Bearings | Daiwa | Abu Garcia 1150 & 1030 Air BFS

With the "Kattobi" Bearing Tuning Kit, you get a premium bearing set from Japan for your Baitcaster reel. The kit includes 2 bearings with the bearing sizes 1150 Air (5mm x 11mm x 4mm) & 1030 Air (3mm x 10mm x 4mm). 

The small stainless steel balls are installed so precisely in the housing that they start to run smoothly even at the slightest weights. This makes the reel perform incredibly well, with an extremely high rotation speed on one hand and a very smooth operation on the other.

Squeeze out the last bit of distance!

The Air BFS Bearing Set is aimed at the finesse anglers among you who primarily cast lures weighing 1 - 14 g. With these bearings, you achieve on average 10 - 30% more casting distance. It doesn't sound like much, but with a casting distance of 30 m, you get up to 9 m more out of your reel compared to factory ball bearings. This allows you to fish spots that were previously out of your casting range.

Why use tuning bearings? 

In general, ball bearings installed in the reel from the factory often do not have good rotational properties because a lot of grease and dust prevent smooth operation. 

The AIR BFS Tuning Kit comes pre-oiled, with Hedgehog Studio's proprietary Alchemy Oil providing the perfect balance between oil and ball bearing.

The "Kattobi" Bearings undergo a quality control process; they are checked by hand after assembly, and only bearings with an excellent rotational performance are allowed to leave the facility.

Therefore, it is not necessary to clean or lubricate the ball bearings. The ball bearings can be used out-of-the-box.
