Hedgehog Studio "Kattobi" Tuning Kit Ceramic Ball Bearings | Daiwa | 1150 & 830 Air

With the "Kattobi" Ball Bearing Tuning Kit, you get a premium ball bearing set from Japan for your baitcasting reel. The kit includes 2 ball bearings with the bearing size 1150 Air (5mm x 11mm x 4mm) & 1030 Air (3mm x 8mm x 4mm). 

The small ceramic balls are installed so precisely in the housing that they start to roll at the slightest weights. This makes the fishing reel perform incredibly well, with an extremely high rotation speed on one hand and a very smooth operation on the other.

Squeeze out the last bit of distance!

The Air Ceramic Ball Bearing Set is aimed at anglers with light lures, primarily lures from 1 - 28 g cast. With the ball bearing, you achieve on average 10 - 30% more casting distance. It doesn't sound like much, but with a casting distance of 30 m, you gain up to 9 m get more out of your reel compared to factory ball bearings. This allows you to fish spots that were previously out of your casting range.

Why use tuning bearings? 

In general, ball bearings that are factory-installed in the reel often do not have good rotation properties because a lot of grease and dust prevent smooth operation. 

The AIR Ceramic Tuning Kit is oiled from the factory; the in-house Alchemy Oil from Hedgehog Studio ensures the perfect balance between oil and ball bearings.

The "Kattobi" Bearings undergo quality control; they are checked by hand after assembly, and only bearings with excellent rotational performance are allowed to leave the factory.

Therefore, it is not necessary to clean or lubricate the ball bearings. The ball bearings can be used out-of-the-box.
