Description & Features

Want to get the maximum spool-turning joy? Then SUPER FINESSE LUBE II is your go-to oil for sensitive tuning in the BFS and UL range. 🎯

This 100% synthetic special oil has been refined to the highest purity – free from any impurities, without solvents. The result: extremely low friction, ultra-low viscosity, and maximum spool response.

Ideal for baitcaster setups where every turn counts – for example, when fishing with finesse rigs or ultra-light lures.

  • 100% synthetic high-end oil – without solvents or additives
  • Extremely low viscosity – no thickening or evaporation
  • Maximum spool release through ultra-low friction
  • Perfect for BFS, UL fishing & finesse setups
  • Includes extra-fine dosing tip for precise application
  • 15 ml content – ideal for many uses

There’s no freer spool – this oil is pure speed for your reel. 🚀

FAQ – Reel Oil for Fishing Reels

The right reel oil depends on which component needs to be lubricated and how heavily it is loaded. Low-viscosity oils are particularly suitable for fast-rotating parts such as spool bearings, while thicker oils are generally used for more heavily loaded mechanisms.

In our shop, we have sorted the oils by viscosity and application area. This makes it easy to see which oil is suitable, for example, for spool bearings, line rollers, or all-round applications.

Viscosity describes how easily an oil flows, or how thin or thick it is.

  • Very thin oils reduce friction and ensure maximum spool rotation
  • Medium viscosity is well suited for all-round applications
  • Thicker oils offer greater protection for more heavily loaded components

The right viscosity ensures that the Reel runs smoothly while still being adequately protected.

Reel oil is primarily used for moving and rapidly rotating components. These include, for example:

  • Spool bearings in baitcasting reels
  • Line guide rollers on spinning reels
  • Bearings in knobs and handles
  • Wormshaft / levelwind system in light reels
  • Smaller moving mechanisms

For gears or heavily loaded components, reel grease is generally used instead.

As a general rule for reel oil: Less is more.

In most cases, one small drop per Bearing is perfectly sufficient. Too much oil can attract dirt or even impair the reel’s performance.

Yes, especially with Spool bearings, the right reel oil can make a difference.

Low-viscosity oils reduce friction in the ball bearing and allow the spool to rotate more freely. This can improve casting performance, especially when fishing BFS or using lightweight lures.

That depends on how often you go fishing.

As a rough guide:

  • occasional use: 1–2 times per season
  • regular use: check every few weeks
  • intensive use or saltwater: service more frequently

It is especially important to service the reel bearings and line rollers regularly, as these components are constantly in motion.

A single, small drop of high-quality spool bearing oil is sufficient for spool bearings.

Too much oil creates unnecessary resistance and reduces the rotational speed.

No, this is not recommended.

Regular household oils or machine oils are generally not designed for the fine mechanisms of modern fishing reels. They may be too viscous, leave residue, or attract dirt.

Specialized reel oils, on the other hand, are specifically formulated for the requirements of fishing reels, ball bearings, and precision mechanisms.

Reel oil is used for fast-rotating components, while reel grease is used for more heavily loaded mechanisms.

Typical applications for reel oil:

  • Spool bearings
  • Line rollers
  • Knob bearings
  • Light mechanical components

Typical applications for reel grease:

  • Main gear
  • Gears
  • Heavily loaded mechanisms

Both lubricants complement each other and together ensure a durable, smooth-running fishing reel.
