🔹 The new Star Drag has a slightly different shape – proper alignment here makes installation easier later on!
7️⃣ Make sure points A & B on the groove and axle are aligned (see instructions).
8️⃣ Carefully press the groove onto the axle until it sits flush.

❗ Do not force it – parts could be damaged!
📌 The Daiwa 24 Steez TW has NO Zero Adjuster – so the Oil Injection Cap must be removed!
9️⃣ Use the special OEM screwdriver to loosen the Oil Injection Cap counterclockwise.
🔟 Align the grooves of the “Oil Injection Cap” with the screwdriver and loosen it.
📌 The “Oil Injection Cap” is tightened clockwise and loosened counterclockwise.
1️⃣1️⃣ Remove the old Oil Injection Cap once it’s loose, loosen it by hand.

1️⃣2️⃣ The "Oil Injection Cap" has been successfully removed.
1️⃣3️⃣ Replace it with a new "Oil Injection Cap".
1️⃣4️⃣ Tighten it by hand.
📌 The "Oil Injection Cap" tightens clockwise and loosens counterclockwise.

📌 Warning: Do not overtighten – the thread could be damaged!
1️⃣5️⃣ Finally, tighten the "Oil Injection Cap" lightly with the screwdriver.
📌 The 24 STEEZ TW features a Zero Adjuster-free design.
1️⃣6️⃣ After replacing the "Oil Injection Cap", continue with the assembly of the star drag.
Start with inserting the spring.

1️⃣7️⃣ The new Star Drag is initially not properly aligned.
Use your thumb and middle finger to bring the outer and inner edges of the drag, as shown in (18) and (19), into a parallel position.

2️⃣0️⃣ When inserting:
Make sure that the markings A and B on the Star Drag match A of the Drive Shaft and B of the Nut.
❗ Only if A and B are exactly aligned can the Star Drag be inserted smoothly!
2️⃣1️⃣ Press the Star Drag in the direction of the arrow, while ensuring that A and B remain aligned.
2️⃣2️⃣ When the Star Drag fits correctly, there is no gap between the drag and the reel body.

❗ No forced insertion!
If a gap remains, go back to the previous steps and check the alignment of A and B.
2️⃣3️⃣ Once the Star Drag is correctly attached, install the "Handle Collar".
2️⃣4️⃣ Place the Handle onto the shaft.
2️⃣5️⃣ Tighten the Handle Nut with the wrench.

2️⃣6️⃣ Reattach the Handle Plate.
2️⃣7️⃣ Secure everything with the Handle Screw.

2️⃣8️⃣ Replace Spool:
Slide the stopper lever on the back of the Reel (red circle) toward OPEN and remove the Side Plate (see illustration in (29).
3️⃣0️⃣ The Side Plate has been successfully removed.

3️⃣1️⃣ Carefully pull out the axis of the Genuine Spool.
3️⃣2️⃣ Insert the new Microcast Spool.
3️⃣3️⃣ Reattach the Side Plate.

3️⃣4️⃣Pay attention to the correct installation direction of the Spool.
📌 Incorrect insertion and forcible closing of the Side Plate can cause damage.

✔ The photo shown is a left-hand model.
3️⃣5️⃣The replacement of all three components is now complete.
Finally, switch several times between tight (High) and loose (Low) drag settings to ensure everything is correctly assembled.

📌 The Drag Clicker is integrated and produces an audible clicking sound when adjusted.
📌 Check that the clicking works perfectly.
⚠️ The 24 Steez TW is a Zero Adjuster-less model – no additional adjustment of the Spool position is required after replacement. 🎣🔧
