Hedgehog Studio "Kattobi" Tuning Kit Ball Bearings | Daiwa | Abu Garcia 1150 & 1030 Air BFS

With the "Kattobi" bearing tuning kit, you receive a premium bearing set from Japan for your baitcasting reel. The kit includes 2 bearings with the bearing size 1150 Air (5mm x 11mm x 4mm) & 1030 Air (3mm x 10mm x 4mm). 

The small stainless steel balls are installed so precisely in the housing that they start to roll at the slightest weights. This makes the reel perform incredibly well, with an extremely high rotation speed on the one hand and a very smooth operation on the other.

Squeezes out the last bit of meters!

The Air BFS bearing set is aimed at the finesse anglers among you who primarily cast lures from 1 - 14 g. With the bearing, you achieve on average 10 - 30% more casting distance. It doesn't sound like much, but with a casting distance of 30 m, you get up to 9 m more out of your reel compared to factory bearings. This allows you to fish spots that were previously out of your casting range.

Why use tuning bearings? 

In general, ball bearings installed in the reel from the factory often do not have good rotational properties because a lot of grease and dust prevent smooth running. 

The AIR BFS Tuning Kit is oiled from the factory; the proprietary Alchemy oil from Hedgehog Studio ensures the perfect balance between oil and ball bearing.

The "Kattobi" bearings undergo a quality control; for this, they are checked by hand after assembly and only the bearings with an excellent rotational performance are allowed to leave the factory.

Therefore, it is not necessary to clean or lubricate the ball bearings. The ball bearings can be used out-of-the-box.
