The spool is equipped with a short shaft made of a titanium alloy, which is known for its exceptional Strength and longevity is known. The special structure of the short shaft and the peek bar pinion ensures superior stability and outstanding performance at high speeds.
The Peek Bar Pinion is already included in the CQ25-MG and does not need to be purchased separately. However, note that you must install the Peek Bar Pinion before using it.
The CQ25-MG comes with a stainless steel spool bearing so you don't need to buy an extra bearing. However, if you want to upgrade the sideplate of your fishing reel, we recommend purchasing an 832 BFS ST ball bearing for the perfect tuning.
The Roro Microcast DIY Titanium coil is compatible with the S23 Calcutta Conquest BFS. Please note that they are not suitable for the ALDEBRAN BFS.
Weighing just 3.50 grams (with bearing) or 3 grams (without bearing). the coil is extremely light and yet robust. The bobbin is made of high quality 7A19 aircraft aluminum and offers a outstanding stability and durability.
For optimal performance, we recommend using YGK X8 line with 14 lb (#0.8) breaking strain for 93 yards (85 meters)
It is important to note that only PE lines are recommended for use with the Roro spool. Carbon fiber and nylon lines can easily damage the Microcast spool.
The recommended filling quantity of the PE cord is about 80% of the spool.
This spool is ideal for bait weights of 0.8-8.0 g.
Important: The Peek-Bar Pinion must be inserted through the ball bearing of the spool brake before inserting the spool. This is done by removing the spool brake cover and must be inserted as shown in the picture.
This spool is compatible with the following Shimano models:
- 17 CALCUTTA CONQUEST BFS
- Not suitable for ALDEBARAN BFS
